Getting Started Easy Tempus
Start tracking a Task
- Enter a description of the Task your working on
- Touch the Start button to start tracking Time
- A notification will appear on your phone
- You can pause/continue and stop the Timer from the nofication
Group Tasks by Client for Billing
- You can group tasks together under a Client
- This will allow you to view Tasks by client in a report or to generate an Invoice
- If your client does not yet exist, touch the + button to the right of the client field to add a client in the Timer screen
- Enter your client details and billing rates if you want to invoice them
- Save the client, it will be automatically be selected in the Timer screen
- Enter your task description and touch the start button to start tracking your Time
Organize your Tasks into a Project
- You can create a Project to group tasks together
- You can track time against a project without selecting a task
- A project can be optionally associated with a Client. Clients can have multiple project.
- You can set billing details at the Project or Client level as required, you can also set a budget for a Project or a Client
- To create a Project, touch the + button to the right of the project field in the timer screen
- Enter your Project details: name, color code, client(optional) and set billing details if required
- Save the project, it will be automatically be selected in the Timer screen
- Enter your task description and touch the start button to start tracking your Time
Track your Time based on your Location
- You can set a location for a Project or Task
- When your device detects you are at this location, the Timer will be started automatically for the specific Project or Task
- To set a location for a Project, select the Edit Location Tracking button
in the add/edit project screen
- Touch the Set Locations button
- Touch the + button to add a new location for time tracking
- To search for a location, enter a description and select the option you want
- Alternatively, swipe to the location you want and touch the map to place the location pin. Enter a description for your location.
- Save the location and make sure it is checked in the Locations screen
- Touch the save icon to finish setting your location
- Save your project, the timer will now start when you are at this location. It will
stop automatically once you leave
- You can also set a location for a Task
- Find the task in the Project by opening the project from the navigation drawer (swipe right to open on main screen) or open the Tasks screen from the navigation drawer
- Select the Task and touch the edit icon
- Touch the Edit Location Tracking button
- Follow the same procedure when setting a location for a project and save your Task
